Summer activity brochure for youngsters
An electronic brochure packed full of summer holiday activities for young people in Hinckley & Bosworth can now be viewed on the Borough Council’s website or downloaded here.
The in-depth guide to ‘What’s Going Down’ this summer is a free 49-page electronic booklet aimed at 0-19 year-olds and is packed full of information that is sure to keep them busy during the school holidays.
There is information on reading sessions at the libraries, sports activities, arts and crafts workshops and a whole variety of different events at locations throughout the Borough. There is also a section devoted to the week-long Snapdragon Festival taking place in Hinckley during August.
Many activities are free with some costing from as little as £1.
It is also worthwhile checking with the individual venues included within the brochure to see if there are any other activities happening and to keep up-to-date with changes.
Councillor Mathew Hulbert, the Borough Council’s Children and Young People’s Champion, said: "This is a fantastic guide, with details on a host of activities being put on across the Borough this summer for children, young people and families.
"I especially welcome the emphasis on play as it is instrumental in helping to ensure the well-being of young children. I hope whatever families do this summer it'll be fun, enjoyable and safe."
