Grounds Maintenance
Cylinder, Rotary, Box and Flail Mowing, Strimming, Bank and Edge Cutting are the core services through the main growing season for our current grounds contractor. From large scale ride on cylinder mowing, large scale ride on rotary mowing with collection and removal of cuttings, ride on flail mowing rough areas through to much smaller amenity areas which require cutting with pedestrian or walk behind mowers.
Well maintained and trimmed hedges, shrubs and trees significantly improves the overall appearance of the village. Our current grounds contractor offers a hedge cutting and pruning service throughout the year from hand hedge trimming at the cemetery to tractor flail hedge cutting our much larger hedges.
Common species of hedges that they deal with are Beech, Hornbeam, Box, Privet, Yew, Cherry laurel, Leyllandii, Holly, Blackthorn, Hawthorn and Berberis.
Sites range from large playing fields such as Stamford Memorial Park to sites such as Marina Park and the BMX play area, Queen Elizabeth II, verges and in the case of Quarry Park – the football pitch.
